The supermarket chain Morrison's claim they will create 7000 new jobs, opening 25 new stores. The new employees should  have retail experience although many of the new positions will be aimed at unemployed people within a local area of the new stores that are opening.

The company will be opening 25 new stores in 2012 as it seeks to ensure that more households have a Morrisons within easy reach. Currently there are more than six million households that do not have a Morrisons store within easy driving distance.
Many of the new opportunities will be craft skills jobs such as butchery, bakery and fishmongery. Morrisons unique strength is in the preparation of quality fresh food through its market street concept.
Typically more than half the new employees at a new store are previously unemployed and 75% are typically from the local area of the store.
Morrisons also aims to be a catalyst for employment in a town by insisting that building suppliers also employ local people.
There will also be another 300 people employed at Morrisons’ new Bridgwater Regional Distribution Centre[1], which will provide food for much of the South West and South Wales.
Morrisons is also distinct from its main rivals in manufacturing much of its fresh food and aims to continue to develop this capability.
Norman Pickavance, Group HR Director at Morrisons said: “Despite the difficult economic conditions, Morrisons continues to have ambitious growth plans and that means we will be searching for people to join us in the communities in which we operate.
“At a time when the number of young and long-term unemployed continues to increase we will provide opportunities for many people and help them build a career in retailing. That means we won’t just be providing a job we’re committed to training our new colleagues so that they have the capability to move from the shop floor to the top floor.
“We feel that the catalyst we are providing is key to moving people from being excluded to being included by providing people with work, dignity and opportunity.”
Morrisons will also be continuing its Futures Programme where it looks for 1,000 new leaders of the future.

Want a Job at McDonalds?

Working there is good for the benefits as well as the food discounts.

You may think that it's a low level job but if it pays the bills, why would you care?

It's a great opportunity to get involved with a progressive company.

Considering the different items on the menu, it's no wonder that McDonalds is always busy and has to continue to hire new blood.

With the great opportunities for jobs at McDonalds, it's a wonder more people do not apply for a job at McDonalds.

For instance an assistant manager earns an average of just over 30,000. annually plus a nice benefit package.

That's a decent wage for the work expected when you have that job at McDonalds.

With a bonus program the income is actually higher.

It's also important to take into consideration the value of the benefits.

Expect health insurance as well as life insurance in that benefit package.

McDonalds employees or anyone else for that matter, do not work forever, they retire at some point.

A retirement plan is also a nice part of the package you get when you have a job at McDonalds.

Although each item offered to an employee at McDonalds the complete offering is very strong and a job at McDonalds is much better than you thought.
